The capital of Utah was founded by the Mormons in 1847, at the east coast of the Great Salt Lake.

Before the Mormons, who were the first white people in this region, settled the valley around the salt lake, was it the seasonal territory of the tribes of Shoshone, Ute, and Paiute.
Four days after arriving the Mormons planned the Salt Lake Temple which took 40 years to built and is still one of the greatest attractions of the city.

The settlement has grown to a big city and is now the industrial banking center of the United States. It is very interesting place for tourists and winter sport fans. By the way, Salt Lake City was the host for the Winter Olympics in 2002 and the sledge hockey World Championships in 2004. They also showed interest in the Winter Olympics in 2022. However, Beijing was selected.
For visitors, there are 11 ski resorts in the region.
